Two limp bodies with sacks concealing their faces, a revolver in hand, and pacing in an unknown synagogue. This is the scene The Brother (Lee Amir-Cohen), a mobster plagued by retrograde amnesia, ‘wakes up’ to after emerging from a blackout state. He beckons the help of an alluring female figure obscured by shadows, The Fiancé (Amanda Maddox). The Brother unveils one cover, only to find his Brother-In-Law (Cameron Diskin)— a savant-like district attorney— broken and bruised. After the unmasking, The Fiancé reminds The Brother that his In-Law brokered a deal with the FBI to turn him in. His In-Law argues otherwise. Within The Brother’s hazy world, facts prove difficult to obtain, pushing him to employ sadistic methods in an attempt to gain answers. However, the answers to those questions shift from one second to the next. And the harder he tries to navigate his fragmented memories and the accounts of his family members, the further he sinks into the abyss of doubt and disbelief.
