With Dementia and Alzheimer’s now the biggest cause of death in England and Wales, Award winning director, Min Reid, felt compelled to write a script from the caretaker’s point of view. Inspired by American Artist Derrick Boudwin’s version of ‘Red’, a Taylor Swift song, Min Reid applied the lyrics to her interpretation of Alzheimer’s and the agony of losing a loved one to this brutal disease. Always keen to push the boundaries, Min created a music video that doubles up as a trailer for the full length film titled ‘For The Love of Fred’. Using poignant scenes, mainly without dialogue, set to emotive music. Within the music video, Min breaks with tradition and takes the audience back into the memory of the main character Fred, remembering when he proposed to his now Alzheimer’s wife… we then see a scene with dialogue in the middle of a music video. #RememberThePerson
