When Earth no longer exists, a neighboring civilization is now studying the human artifacts that float around in Earth’s place—like paleontologists who study the ancient Egyptians. This is the story of a curious alien with a dream of being a space explorer that has been diminished by his nightmarishly closed-minded co-workers, and how this dream emerges from the rubble again upon his discovery of tap shoes, a jukebox, and ultimately humanity’s creative spirit.
