Untouchables details the incredible true story of Coach Derrick Hoff, and his tenure as the fencing coach at St. Benedict’s – an Inner city school in Newark, NJ, which serves a mostly working poor, black and brown population. Facing an uphill battle against considerable economic disadvantage, as well as significant entrenched racism in the sport itself, Hoff attempts to lead his fencers to a state championship – while also mentoring and guiding them around the many potential pitfalls of urban life; teaching them what it means to be truly untouchable, both on and off the fencing strip.
