Los Angeles in the 1970’s grabs you by the collar and screams in your face. It is loud and brutal and unforgiving and tinged with nostalgia. It’s the Wild West but with cars and instead of cowboys; its sweeping Western plains full of unhinged Vietnam vets, criminals, cops, and cops that are criminals, too. HELMET uses this circumstantial brutality as a barometer against which to measure growth, healing, and hope in its characters.
